Scrambling and Mountaineering

Fantastic experience and I took a lot more away from it than expected. I did the scrambling course. Simon is very knowledgeable and covered everything from what type of boots you need, what you need in your rucksack to different foot techniques for tackling those big rocks. He had all the necessary equipment to ensure I was safe and gave me tips on how to overcome my nerves. I will definitely use Peak Outdoor in the future.

I had an amazing couple of days with Simon in Wales - we lucked out with the weather so he was able to take me on some really cool multi-pitch climbing routes going up to 175m high. I had a fantastic day with Simon learning Hill & Mountain Skills. I learned loads, and came away feeling more confident about walking in the UK and also my upcoming long-distance walking trip in Corsica. Simon gave me lots of advice about preparation for my trip, and a really useful intro to scrambling, on top of the usual course syllabus. He’s a great teacher and good company too.

I did a half day scrambling course in Edale with Simon and it was brilliant. It was perfectly tailored to my needs. He was professional, knowledgeable and I felt in good hands.
